Investor summit on climate risk, energy solutions (01/17/12)
The Investor Summit on Climate Risk and Energy Solutions, sponsored by Ceres, a coalition of investors, environmental groups, and public interest organizations; the U.N. Foundation; and the U.N. Fund for International Partnerships, with other foundation and financial industry support, was held Jan. 12 at U.N. headquarters in New York. Several speakers are featured discussing the summit, which covered financing mechanisms for scaling climate and energy solutions, including clean technology, energy efficiency and green infrastructure investment; capital needed for climate adaptation and energy solutions in developed and emerging countries; and the financial community’s role in advancing comprehensive climate and energy policies at the state, national, and international levels.
